John Howell
Attorney
John Howell is originally from the South Georgia area, around Valdosta, and moved to the area after graduating from the University of Georgia with a business degree. After settling down in Fort Walton Beach, he attended Troy University and received a Master’s degree in Business Management. John is also a licensed insurance agent. Attorney Howell is a newer attorney who passed the Florida Bar February 2019 after graduating from Barry University in Orlando.
After visiting the area in 2002, John decided to call Fort Walton Beach his home. Originally, he started working in the banking industry then transitioned to work for a family-owned, 50 store franchise operator and eventually became their Chief Financial Officer and then in-house counsel. He worked for the family-owned business for over 20 years prior to coming to work with Dowd Law Firm, and because of his business and legal experience with the latter, the transition was simple.
